For those who havent seen me in a while, and for the people who havent had the opportunity to see me as of yet, I made my print debut in the premier issue of SHOW. Ive been featured in SHOW issue two, Im one the cover models for Black Lingerie #4, and Im one half of the very first SHOWCase issue. My modeling career officially began when I met Sean Cummings at a casting call in Houston, Texas during All-Star Weekend back in 2006. Id done a couple photo shoots, but I was never featured in a publication before then. So therefore, Im proud to say that I got my start on the pages of SHOW Magazine.
Ive been busy since the release of SHOWCase, having done the cover of Lowrider Girls, XXL Magazines Eye Candy, August 2009, Marquis, the cover of Deadbeat. In addition, I was featured in two Hype Williams productions: Kanye Wests ‘Amazing video, and Jamie Foxxs ‘Digital Girl. More recently, Ive gotten into burlesque dancing as well, as Ive always idolized Dita Von Teese. When Marquis Erick Von Gutenburg suggested that I could perform at the Marquis Fetish Ball, my interest was peaked even more. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to make that appearance, but it motivated me to actually pursue becoming a performer.
My website, www.LauraDore.com has finally gone live, and it features five sections: Glamour, Burlesque, Fetish, Sweetie Cyanide, and Fashion. I love being able to have pictures that are such a contradiction on the same site, because I it gives me a chance to show my versatility in one place. The Sweetie Cyanide section, in particular, has been a lot of fun for me, as Ive been allowed to incorporate my love of gore and all things twisted into the site. Theres a little something for everyone on it. Thats the same way I approach my career, as I love expressing all the aspects of my personality through my work.
